Debby Prado has spent the past twenty years in education having served in various roles throughout her professional journey. Debby began her career as an elementary teacher and taught various grade levels for ten years before moving into her role as a curriculum specialist. As a curriculum specialist, she created district Common Core content curriculum and provided professional development and training  to teachers across six charter schools throughout Los Angeles county. 

Debby spent her first 8 years in administration as principal throughout South Los Angeles, and her most recent role is serving as principal of Palm Lane Global Academy (PLGA) a Vista Charter public school. Debby describes herself as a lifelong learner and remains committed to serving the students, staff, and families of PLGA. Her leadership style calls for urgency in serving students through a holistic approach and one that serves the whole child. 
As principal of Palm Lane, Debby aims to foster a school community that remains dedicated to transforming the school experience. Debby believes all students deserve access to a high quality education that encompasses innovative learning and promotes global competency. 
Debby attributes her success in education in that she leads with the lens of a mother and demands the best for the students she is entrusted to serve- an honor she does not take lightly. Debby is the proud mother of five children, four sons and one daughter ranging in ages 6 to 25. She is a proud supporter of the United States military in which her oldest son is currently oversees serving in the United States Marine Corps. In her free time, Debby enjoys supporting her children in their extracurricular activities, hiking, attending yoga classes, and spending time with loved ones.
